Pontiac Trans AM 6.6 T/A “Smokey and the Bandit”

Pontiac Firebird Trans AM 1978 – A legendary American sports car. Once a rival to Ford Mustang and one of the most successful American coupe automobiles from its era, this Trans Am has become a very special collectible at present times. Coming from the end of the 1960s, the Trans Am has developed in style and has aged really well. When speaking about the second generation, it was offered both with inline 6 and V8 engines, making it to the top with the 8-cylinder motor, the most powerful of them being the 7.5 litre Pontiac V8.

This here is a 1978 Trans Am, equipped with a 160 kW T/A 6.6 Pontiac V8 engine. Back in the day it was hailed for its handling and performance ability and the late-70s muscle car is perfectly proving its abilities even today. The powerful engine with a four-barrel carburetor and an automatic gearbox undoubtedly puts a smile on one’s face. Having a scoop on the bonnet and double pipes on both sides of the rear end the Trans Am sings sweet melodies that cannot be left without attention.
The interior is covered in grey. Leather seats are in great shape and the car is equipped with some very thankworthy features such as air conditioning, cruise control, electric windows. The targa top with its two glass panels takes the joyride to another level. Black coloured pinstripe body with Firebird ornaments complemented by colour matching wheels is the best combination one could ever wish for.
